Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 18 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chopped, peeled apples
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • Unsweetened whipped cream
  • Poached apples - optional

Preparation

Step 1

In a large mixer bowl beat eggs, sugar and vanilla till light and fluffy.

Stir together the flour, baking powder and salt. Blend into the creamed mixture.

Fold in apples and walnuts.

Pour all into a 9x9x2 greased and floured baking pan.

Bake at 325 for 30-35 minutes.

Spoon into dessert dishes. Serve warm with whipped cream and apple slices.
