Chocolate Chip Cookies

• 1 cup shortening
• 1 cup brown sugar, packed
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 2 eggs
• 2 cups flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 cup nuts
• 2 cups chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture. Stir in nuts. Drip by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 8 - 10 minutes or until light brown. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheets.
