Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 3 tablespoons Progresso® plain bread crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup tomato sauce

Step 1

1.Heat gas or charcoal grill. In large bowl, mix all ingredients except tomato sauce. Shape mixture into 12 (2-inch) meatballs, then flatten slightly to 3/4-inch-thick patties. On each of 4 (9-inch) metal skewers, thread 3 patties lengthwise, leaving 1-inch space between each.

2.Carefully brush grill rack with oil. Place kabobs on grill over medium-high heat. Cover grill; cook about 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on outside and no longer pink in center.

3.In 1-quart saucepan, heat tomato sauce over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until simmering. Serve over kabobs.
