Ingredients
- 2 cups scalded milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup mashed potatoes
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbl yeast
- 7 cups flour
- 1/2 cup warm water

Step 1
Bring milk to a scald. Pour over shortening. Let cool until luke warm. Soften yeast in ½ c. warm water. Add to the milk: eggs, sugar, salt, and potatoes. Add 4 cups flour. Blend until smooth. Add 2 more cups flour. Blend until smooth then add last cup of flour as needed. Let rise until double. Split in half. Roll until ½ inch thick. Spread melted butter over dough and then sprinkle cinnamon sugar over butter. Roll up and cut into 1” pieces. Put on cookie sheets. Cover and let rise. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
