Ingredients
- Base:
- 2 ½ cups flour
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup butter
- 1 egg yolk, beaten
- 1/3 cup crunchy peanut butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Topping:
- 6 oz. chocolate chips (the higher the cocoa content, the better)
- ½ cup crunchy peanut butter
- ½ cup coconut

Step 1
Base:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
2. Combine wet ingredients until well mixed.
3. Add dry ingredients and mix at low speed until dough resembles coarse crumbs. Don't over do it or crust will be tough.
4. Press dough evenly into an ungreased, tinfoil-lined 10x15 cookie sheet.
5. Bake about 25 minutes or until golden. Cool slightly.
Topping:
1. Melt chocolate over a double boiler. Stir in peanut butter and coconut.
2. Spread chocolate mixture over base.
3. Cool to room temperature before cutting into bars.
