Ingredients

  • 1

    lb. extra lean ground turkey or beef

  • 1

    onion - diced

  • 4

    cloves of garlic - minced

  • 1

    jalapenos - minced

  • 1

    red pepper - diced

  • 1

    can red beans or pinto beans - drained & rinsed

  • cups tomato sauce

  • 2

    tablespoons tomato paste

  • 1

    tablespoon red wine vinegar

  • 1

    tablespoon molasses

  • 1

    tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1

    teaspoon mustard powder

  • ¾

    teaspoon salt

  • fresh ground black pepper

Directions

Brown the meat & onions in a large nonstick skillet, breaking the meat up as it cooks. Drain & return to pan. Add garlic, jalapeno & red pepper, cook for 5 minutes. Stir in the rest of the ingredients, reduce heat to low & simmer for 5 minutes more.
