Whole Wheat Soda Bread

Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup buttermilk (to sub, use 1 Tbsp vinegar or lemon juice plus milk to make 1 cup)
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 1 egg, well beaten

Step 1
Heat oven to 375 deg F. Grease cookie sheet. In large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt; mix well.
In small bowl, combine buttermilk, honey and egg; blend well. Add to flour mixture; stir gently just until dry ingredients are moistened. (Dough will be sticky) Shape dough into flat 7-in round loaf on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 deg F. for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet; cool on wire rack for 15 minutes. Serve warm or cool.
