  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons milk
  • Food coloring, if desired.

Step 1

In small mixer bowl combine powdered sugar, butter and vanilla. Beat at low speed, gradually adding milk and scraping bowl often, until desired spreading consistency.

Color with food coloring. Decorate cooled cookies or bars.

Cover; store refrigerated. Bring to room temperature before using; mix well.
