Ingredients
- Chocolate Icing:
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 stick oleo and 1/2 cup shortening or 2 sticks butter
- 1 cup water
- 3 Tbsp cocoa
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 stick oleo
- 3 Tbsp. cocoa
- 6 Tbsp. milk
- 1 box powdered sugar (1 pound)
- 1/2 cup pecans
- 1 tsp vanilla

Step 1
sift flour, measure resift with salt and sugar. In a saucepan put oleo, shortening, water, and cocoa. bring to a boil and pour over flour and sugar mixture. In another bowl, put eggs, soda, buttermilk and vanilla. Add to above mixture and mix well. Bake in greased and floured shallow pan (cookie sheet). Bake for 20 mins at 350 degrees. Start to make icing the last 5 minutes the cake is baking.
To make icing:
mix oleo, cocoa and milk in saucepan. Heat over low flame, but do not boil. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar, chopped pecans and vanilla. Mix well. Frost cookie sheet as soon as removed from oven.
