Preparation

Step 1

In a large colander, drain first four ingredients really well. (I leave them in the colander for 2-3 hours. It really makes the fruit salad taste more of the fruit and not so bland. It also helps with the fruit salad not being so soggy.)

After the fruit has drained really well, gently fold in the pie filling being sure not to break up the fruit to much.

Refrigerate and serve cold or room temperature.

Notes: The pie filling can be substituted with cherry, peach or apricot and is equally as good.
