This salsa recipe is from a friend of mine, Brian Cooper. I have made some modifications. Since there is not much vinegar or any preservatives, the heat will diminish over time.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans S&W Mexican stewed tomatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro
  • 2 jalapenos
  • 4 seranno chiles
  • 10 chile de arbol
  • 1 dried guajillo chile
  • 2 chipotle peppers
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic
  • 2 lemons, juiced or 3 limes
  • 1 tsp Mexican oregano
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion salt
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients into blender or food processor and mix. Chiles can be heated in pan to intensify the heat.
