Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 1 T. vanilla
  • 1/2 jar poppyseeds
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 T. baking powder

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat to 325 degrees. Cream sugar and margarine together. Add slightly beaten yolks to cream mixture. Mix rest of ingredients, except the egg whites with sugar and yolk mix. Beat egg whites until stiff, then fold in egg whites into the batter.

Mix well. Pour batter into 2 loaf pans which have been greased and floured. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes.
