Hot Tamale Dip

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 onion, chopped (I use 1/2 onion and a bunch of scallions)
- 1 small green pepper, chopped
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 (15-oz) can chili, no beans (I use Hormel Turkey chili)
- 1 (15-oz) can hot tamales, broken into pieces
- 1 8 oz. brick of hot pepper cheese, cut into pieces (They now have shredded, so I use that)

Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter and saute onion and green pepper until soft. Add flour, stirring well. Add remaining ingredients and cook until the cheese is melted. Serve hot with tortilla chips.
