Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 onion, chopped (I use 1/2 onion and a bunch of scallions)
  • 1 small green pepper, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 (15-oz) can chili, no beans (I use Hormel Turkey chili)
  • 1 (15-oz) can hot tamales, broken into pieces
  • 1 8 oz. brick of hot pepper cheese, cut into pieces (They now have shredded, so I use that)

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter and saute onion and green pepper until soft. Add flour, stirring well. Add remaining ingredients and cook until the cheese is melted. Serve hot with tortilla chips.
