Ingredients
- 1 ham steak, 1 inch thick
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 (16-ounce) can apricot halves in syrup

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350F. Trim fat from outer edge of ham. Cut out and discard center bone.
Place ham in a medium baking dish. Spoon brown sugar over top. Sprinkle with cloves.
Drain apricots, reserving 1/4 cup syrup. Arrange apricot halves, cut side up, in a circle over ham.
Pour reserved syrup over ham. Bake ham until sauce is bubbly, about 20 minutes.
Grandma's Secret Tip
Cut slashes at 1-inch intervals in the fatty outside edge of the ham steak to keep it from curling while cooking.
