Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp. honey
  • 2 tbsp. rice-wine vinegar
  • 3 green onions, trimmed and chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tsp. grated ginger
  • 1 1/2 lb. London broil

Preparation

Step 1

Place the vegetable oil, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, onions, garlic and ginger in a large bowl; mix well.

Add the beef to the bowl and coat well with marinade. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours, turning beef every hour.

Preheat the grill to medium-high. Add the beef and grill, brushing occasionally with the marinade, until cooked to desired doneness, 6–8 minutes on each side. Cover and let rest in a warm place for 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, place the remaining marinade in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 2 minutes. Slice the steak and spoon the warm marinade on top to serve.
