- ¼ cup brown mustard seeds
- ¼ cup yellow mustard seeds
- ½ cup beer
- ¼ cup cider vinegar
- 4 teaspoons dark brown sugar
- 3 Tablespoons ground yellow mustard powder
- 1 teaspoon salt

Step 1
Soak the mustard seeds in the beer overnight.
The next day, place soaked seeds along with the remaining ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until evenly mixed. If you prefer the seeds ground up finer, process further until it is the desired consistency.
Store covered, in a cool, dark place until the flavor mellows somewhat or it may be used immediately if you prefer a more pungent flavor.
Refrigerate when it reaches your desired pungency level.
