Ingredients

  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 1 1/2 cups long grain rice
  • 4 slices bacon(if desired) - chopped
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 egg
  • soya sauce
  • curry powder

Preparation

Step 1

Add rice to pot of boiling water. Cover and simmer on low until rice is cooked and all water is absorbed.

Fry up chopped bacon until crisp. Drain off most of the grease and remove the bacon. Fry up the onion until tender. Stir in cooked rice and bacon. Mix in 1 beaten egg. Add enough soya sauce and curry powder to taste. You may need to flavour with some salt and pepper.
