Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1 C part-skim ricotta cheese
  • 1 1/2 C shredded mozzarella cheese divided
  • 6 items uncooked lasagna noodles, no-cook
  • 1/2 C shredded parmasan cheese or Romano

Preparation

Step 1

Brown ground beef, onion and garlic in skillet.
Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce and spices, stir.
Simmer 5 minutes.
In medium bowl, stir together ricotta cheese, and 1 C mozzarella.

Spoon 1/3 beef mixture into slow cooker.
Break 3 lasagnea sheets in 1/2 and arrange over beef.
Top with 1/2 cheese mixture.
Repeat with another layer and finish with 1/3 remaining beef mixture.
Cook on low 4-6 hours.

In a small bowl mix the remaining mozarella cheese and parmasan cheese to sprinkle over beef mixture.

Yields 1/6 of dish is serving
