Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is a recipe I found on the internet. It is a good for a large batch of cookies. I am always on the look out for "the best" chocolate chip cookie recipe recipe!

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 C all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 C unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 C packed light brown sugar
- 3/4 C granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 large eggs (at room temp.)
- 2 C nuts, toasted, coarsely chopped (optional)
- 14 oz. bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped into 1/2-2 " chunks

Step 1
1. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside
2. Beat butter with brown sugar, granulated sugar and vanilla extract at medium speed just until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time, until thoroughly incorporated, then blend in the flour mixture, nuts and chocolate chunks.
3. Divide the dough into quarters. Shape each quarter into a log about 9 inches long. Wrap the logs in plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm(preferably 24 hours.) The dough logs can be refrigerated for up to 1 week or frozen for up to 1 month.
4. Position racks in the upper and lower thirds of the oven and preheat the oven to 350. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
5. Bake about 10 min.
6. Makes about 4 doz.
