Ingredients

  • Topping:
  • 1 1/2 Cups All-purpose flour
  • 3/4 Cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoons Baking powder
  • 9 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled to room temperature
  • Filling:
  • 1 Packages (18 ounces) Driscoll's Blackberries
  • 3 Tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon sugar, divided
  • 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 F.
Whisk flour, sugar and baking powder together in a medium bowl.
Stir in melted butter with a fork, just until the dough comes together, DO NOT OVER MIX.
Set aside

In medium bowl, stir together blackberries, cornstarch and 3 Tablespoons sugar until evenly blended
Pour berry mixture into a 8 inch square baking dish
Use fingers to gather the dough together and divide it into 9 equal parts
Loosely form each part into a ball and flatten to about 1/2 inch thickness
Top blackberry mixture with the dough balls, space evenly
Sprinkle cobbler with remaining 1 teaspoon sugar
Bake until berries are bubbling and dough is golden brown, 50 to 55 minutes
Transfer dish to wire rack and let cool slightly before serving.
