Ingredients

    pound chuck ground

    teaspoon season salt

    teaspoon season pepper

    cloves garlic, crushed

    1-pound 12 ounces can tomatoes

  • 1

    8 ounce can tomato sauce

  • dash tabasco

  • 1

    teaspoon crushed oregano

  • 1

    envelope spagheete sauce

  • 1

    bay leave

  • 9

    lasagne noodle (about ½ pound)

  • ½

    mozzzarella cheese

  • 1

    pound ricotte or drained cottage cheese

  • ½

    cup grated parmesan cheese

Directions

About 1 hour 45 minutes before serving In ducth oven saute chuck until brown, add seasoned salt & pepper, garlic, tomatoes, tomato sauce. Tabasco, oregano, spaghatte sauce mix, bay leaf. Stir well covered 30 minutes. 2. Meanwhile, lasagne noodles, drain, rinse, heat oven to 350F. Remove bay leaf from meat sauce pour 1/4 of sauce into 12'x8'x2' baking dish. cover it with 3 lasagne noodle, sread noodles with 13 of mozzarella cheese Repeat layers, ending with meat sauce. Then sprinkle with parmeson cheese. 3. Set lasagne in oven with foil on over rack. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until bubbly. Remove -let stand about 5 minutes cut in squares/serve To make ahead-perpare lasagne and in step 1 and 2 cool-refregerate/ next day about 1 1/4 hours before dinner-bake as in step 3 increase baking time 1 1/4 hours
