to apples work the best but apples picked from a trip to the orchard are the most fun!
Do not tightly wrap this cake because it is too moist so we always just placed a tea towel over it.
Add the powder sugar at the last minute.
My mom has experimented with ripe pears and walnuts instead of apples, so have fun with this recipe!

Step 1

.Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes...when cool sprinkle with confection sugar...Yum!!!!! Now you need coffee, tea or milk to wash down a nice big piece and a napkin to wipe away the powder sugar..
