  • Brine:
  • 2 quarts vinegar
  • 2 quarts water
  • 1 cup pickling salt
  • .
  • 4 lbs. cucumbers
  • for each jar:
  • 2-3 cloves garlic
  • 1-2 fresh sprigs of dill
  • 1/4 tea. pickling spice
  • 2-3 small dried red peppers

Preparation

Step 1

Scrub and soak cucumbers in ice water for 2-3 hours.

Bring brine to a boil.

Add spices and pickles to sterilized jars. Fill to 1/4" with hot brine.

Seal and process in hot water batjh for 15 minutes.
