Johny's Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

• Cake
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 cups flour
• 1/2 cup cocoa powder
• 2 tsp baking soda
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 1 cup oil
• 1 tsp vanilla
• Icing
• 1/2 cup margarine
• 3 T cocoa powder
• 6 T coke
• 1 box powdered sugar
• 1 cup pecans, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Cake
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 2 8" pans.

Mix all together and add one cup of boiling water. Beat well and pour into prepared pan(s).

Bake 350 for 45 minutes. Pour icing over cake while hot.


Icing
Boil margarine, cocoa, and coke until smooth. Add sugar and pecans. Pour hot icing over hot cake.


NOTES:
Shane's fave is thick sheetcake -
make 1 1/2 the cake recipe and bake 325 for 45 minutes.
