Ingredients
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 tsp. flavoring (almond or vanilla) or 1/4 cup grated almonds
- 2 1/2 cups Gold Medal Flour (*do not use self rising flour!)

Step 1
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix butter, sugar, egg yolks, and flavoring thoroughly. measure flour by dipping method or by sifting. work in flour. Using 1/4 dough at a time, force dough through cookie press on un-greased baking sheet in desired shapes. Bake 7 to 10 min., or until set but not brown.
**Chocolate spritz: Make Spritz except blend 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate (2 ox.), melted, into the shortening mixture.
