Caramel Cereal Crunch Bars

Ingredients
- 1 cup Marzetti Caramel Apple Dip
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 6 cups crispy rice cereal
- 2 cups favorite toasted oat cereal
- 6 ounces milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate
- 2 teaspoons shortening
- Favorite candy sprinkle

Preparation
Step 1
*1*. Line a 9"x13" pan with parchment or
wax paper.
*2*. In a microwave safe bowl, combine
Marzetti Caramel Apple Dip, butter and
white chocolate chips and microwave for
40 to 60 seconds. Mix until smooth.
(Additional time in the microwave may
be needed, proceed in 20 second intervals.
Mix after each additional time.)
*3*. Combine both cereals in a large bowl.
Pour melted caramel mixture over
the cereal and mix until the cereal is
coated. Spoon mixture into a prepared pan, pressing firmly into an even layer.
*4*. Refrigerator for 2 hours or until bars
are firm.
*5*. In a small microwave bowl, combine chocolate and shortening. Microwave for
30 seconds and mix until smooth.
(Microwave an additional 10 to 20 seconds
if necessary, to melt chocolate completely.)
*6*. Spread chocolate mixture evenly over top
of bars and sprinkle with candy bits. Chill
an additional 30 minutes. Cut bars into desired pieces. Serve chilled.
*7*. Store covered with plastic wrap in
refrigerator.
