World's Beat Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 cup shortening
• 1 cup butter
• 2 1/4 cups sugar
• 3 eggs
• 1 Tablespoon vanilla
• 5 1/4 cups flour
• 1 Tablespoon baking powder
• 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350F.

2. In medium bowl, cream together the butter, shortening and sugar. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt, stir into creamed mixture until dough comes together. Roll dough into walnut sized balls and roll balls in sugar. Place them on baking sheets about 2 inches apart

3. Bake cookies 10-12 minutes in the preheated oven until bottom is light brown.
