Ingredients

  • 10 Tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar, minus 1TBS
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 Tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350F. Cream butter and sugar together in a large mixing bowl until fluffy. In a seperate bowl mix the dry ingredients. Add the eggs to the butter mixture one at a time until mixed well together.
Add the vanilla and mix; then add the dry ingredients alternating with the sour cream. Divide the batter among 12 greased muffin cups and bake 15-20 minutes.

2. While the muffins are cooling, melt one stick of butter and set aside. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tsp. cinnamon. After muffins are cool, dip the tops into melted butter then into the sugar mix.
