  • 6 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup baking powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 2 cups butter
  • milk



Step 1

Sift together first 5 ingredients, then cut in the butter. Store in freezer. When you want to make biscuits use 2-3 cups of mix and add milk to make a stiff dough. Drop by serving spoon onto baking sheet and bake at 400 F for 18-22 minutes or until golden brown.
