Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon chopped onion
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 8-oz can tomato sauce
  • Basil, to taste
  • Sage, to taste
  • Parsley, to taste
  • Cinnamon - just a pinch
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onion in butter and olive oil until golden. Add ground beef and saute until brown. Drain off excess grease. Add tomato sauce plus one half can of water and remaining ingre3dients. Simmer, covered, in low heat for 2-4 hours.

Serve on rigatoni and sprinkle with fresh Parmesan cheese.
