Ingredients
- 2-3 lb boneless chuck
- salt and pepper
- garlic powder
- 6 large carrots, peeled
- 3 medium potatoes
- large onion
- 3 stalks of celery
- 2 cans 14 0z ea beef broth w/onions
- 1 cup wine
- 2 tbsps cornstarch
- 1/3 cup water

Preparation
Step 1
Place roast in cooker. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder
Cut carrots and celery into third; quarter potatoes; cut onion into wedges; put in cooker, sprinkle with salt and pepper
Pour broth and wine over vegetable and beef. Cover top tightly with foil; cover foil with lid
Low 8-10 hrs.
Remove meat and veg from cooker; turn on high; mix cornstarch and water; add to liquid in cooker; cover simmer 15 min
