Swiss Green Beans

Ingredients
- 1 lb. green beans
- 1/4 c. salad oil, preferably olive
- 1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
- 2 tbsp. chopped onion
- 1/2 c, diced red or green pepper
- 1/4 c. boiling water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dried basil leaves
- 1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Step 1
Wash, trim and cut beans into 2 inch lengths. Heat oil in a heavy saucepan. Add garlic, onion and peppers. Saute for 2 min. Add beans, water, salt and basil. Cook 12 to 15 min. or until tender. Stir in half the cheese. Spoon beans into serving dish. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Serve immediately.
