Ingredients
- 1 cup cold heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla ref="http://www.foodterms.com/encyclopedia/bean-sauces/index.html" class="crosslink" debug="85 95">bean paste (or seeds from 1 vanilla bean)
- 1 cup mixed berries
- 2 pints vanilla ice cream
- 1 1 -liter bottle red cream soda

Directions
Make the vanilla whipped cream: Whisk the heavy cream, confectioners' sugar and vanilla bean paste in a large bowl until stiff peaks form.
Alternate the berries and 2 scoops ice cream in each of 4 glasses. Pour in the soda, then top each glass with a large dollop of vanilla whipped cream.
