Chili Rolls
Although you need only 2 Chili Rolls per person, these freeze well so make the whole recipe. Leftovers can be kept handy in the freezer and heated easily prior to serving.

Ingredients
- 18 soft French or sourdough rolls
- 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
- 1 can (4 oz.) green chile sauce
- 1 1/2 cans (8 oz. size) tomato sauce
- salt, black pepper, chili powder to taste
- 3/4 lb. Cheddar cheese

Step 1
Cut slit in side of each roll (do not cut all the way through). Scoop out insides. Set aside. Brown beef, onion and garlic in skillet. Add chile sauce, tomato sauce, salt, pepper and chili powder. Simmer, stirring, for 10 min. Cut cheese into chunks. Stir into meat mixture and heat until melted. Fill rolls with chili mixture. Wrap each in foil. Bake at 300° for 30 min.
