Ingredients

  • 4 thick pork chops
  • oil
  • 1 1/2 cans (10 oz. ea.) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/3 c. milk
  • 2 stalks celery, finely cut
  • 4 slices wheat bread, toasted and cubed
  • 2 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 red apples, unpeeled, sliced

Step 1

Wipe pork chops with damp paper toweling. Brown them in a little heated oil. Arrange chops in oiled baking dish. Combine soup and milk, mixing until creamy and smooth. Add celery, bread cubes, poultry seasoning, salt and pepper, mixing well. Pour mixture over the chops. Sprinkle with apple slices. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1 hr, or until chops are done. Garnish with apple wedges, if you like.
