This Marty's recipe. I believe it was adapted from a Betty Crocker recipe. He uses bone-in skinless breasts and thighs.

Ingredients

  • 8 tablespoon butter or margarine, divided
  • 2 1/2 cups Original Bisquick mix
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 breasts and 10 thighs, skinned (approx 6 1/2 to 7 pounds)

Step 1

Skin chicken.
Heat oven to 375°F. Melt equal amounts of butter in two 13x9x2 rectangular baking dishes, in oven.
Stir together Bisquick, paprika, salt and pepper; dip chicken in hot butter then roll in Bisquick. Divide chicken between the two dishes. Place meaty side up in dish (dish and butter should be hot).
Bake 70 minutes or until juice no longer runs pink when centers of thickest pieces are cut.
