Excellent, timeless recipe, but skip the water droplets part -- this makes the sugar look very strange on top.

FANTASTIC! Made these for Christmas this year and everyone LOVED them. All 48 of them were gone in less than two days. Huge hit, definitely recommend them.

Iv been making these giant delicious cookies for years...but my Betty Crocker cookbook is falling apart and I cant find the page this recipe is on. To keep them soft and chewy I put in a fresh piece of bread and they go fast! I'm gonna use red and green sugar to make them more Christmas-y!

I have been making these cookies since 1957. I received my first cookbook from our school book fair and this was one of the first cookies I ever made. In fact, I still have this cookbook "Betty Crocker Cook Book for Boys and Girls"

I made these and 5 other kinds of Betty Crocker cookies as Christmas gifts last year. This cookie was the favorite of everyone I gave them to. It beat out the buttery chocolate chip!!

This cookie is a family favorite. I had issues with the cookies not flattening when they cooked. I ended up calling my mom who has an OLD BC cookbook and she said that the original directions actually tell you to flatten the cookie before baking it. My second, third, and fourth batch came out perfect! I found that the longer the dough stayed in the fridge, the better the cookies came out.

Wow! These are really good. My 7 year old loves them! It smelled like Christmas coming out of the oven. Very easy too! If the first pan comes out flat, add 1/4 cup flour and Voila!. A small ball-scoop makes work super quick and no sticky hands. We will be making these EVERY Christmas.

Chewy, spicy and addicting...These cookies are a childhood memory and I had lost this recipe, so thank you. My whole family loves these cookies.

These cookies are great! My husband is very picky and he said they were the best cookies I have ever made.

I just made these, and they are delicious. Hope some make it to the freezer.I was wondering what the sprinkling of water on them before baking does, but I did it anyway and they turned out great!! Please try these if you like spice flavor. Really wakes up your mouth.

I had to bake molasses cookies for a class project. I found this recipe and gave it a try. These cookies are wonderful! (They''re also a bit addicting-just to warn you!). I didn't have any of the cloves/ginger, but I just used a teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice and they still taste wonderful.

This recipe was delicious!!! The best molasses cookies I have ever eaten. My kids all loved them too, they were inviting their friends over to try them! They were a big hit with everyone, even my chocolate-lover husband.

These are excellent. I added extra ground ginger for a little more kick, but it certainly isn't necessary. These are chewy, crispy, and perfect. Keeping this one.

These were really good and easy, even my son who isn't crazy about gingerbread loved them.

I have made this cookie for Christmas for the last 33 years and it is always one of our favorites! It's easy to make too.Soft and chewy warm from the oven with a glass of cold milk you can't get a tastier snack for after school.

I love to make these cookies for hoilday cookie exchanges. I dip 1/2 the cookie in white chocolate. They are always a huge hit.

My mother used to make these all the time when I was a kid. Loved them then and adore them now. Will never lose this recipe!

This is the very best molasses cookie you can make!
