Ingredients
- 2 cups sour cream
- 1 small red onion, finely chopped
- 2 jalapeno chiles, finely chopped
- 2 Tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro leaves
- salt and freshly ground black pepper

Step 1
Combine the ingredients in a medium bowl and season to taste with salt and pepper. If you like things spicy, add a few dashes of your favorite hot sauce.
Serve cold with good-quality tortilla chips.
The dip can be made a few hours in advance, covered, and kept refrigerated.
