Ingredients
- 2 pkg. (8 oz. each) semisweet baking chocolate, divided
- 3/4 c. packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350º F. Coarsely chop 1 pkg. of chocolate; set aside.
2. In a large microwaveable bowl, break up remaining pkg. of chocolate & microwave on high power for 1 to 2 min.; stir until chocolate is completely melted & smooth. Add brown sugar, flour, baking powder, butter, eggs, & vanilla; stir to mix well. Stir in chopped chocolate & nuts.
3. Drop by ¼-c.fuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 13 to 15 min., or till cookies puffed & tops dry. Cool slightly on baking sheet, then transfer to wire rack to cool. Store in an airtight container till ready to serve.
