Ingredients

  • Fresh berries:
  • Wash, dry & place berries on parchment-lined cookie sheet. Freeze until frozen, then put in freezer bags
  • Minutes to Blanche:
  • Corn on the Cob: 6-9
  • Baby Carrots: 5
  • Broccoli Spears: 5
  • Onions: 3-5
  • Asparagus: 2-4
  • Spinach: 2
  • Snap Peas: 1-2

Preparation

Step 1

Fill a large pan with enough water to cover the veggies. Boil the water. Add veggies; cover; and boil for the time listed.

After boiling, drain & immediately place veggies in ice water (for the same length of time as blanching) to stop the cooking process. Drain and pat them dry with a paper towel, then place veggies single-layer on parchment lined cookie sheet & freeze. Then place in a freezer bag. Lasts up to three months.
