Ingredients
- water
- sugar
- cornstarch
- egg yolks
- butter
- juice and rind of 2 lemons
- egg whites
- powdered sugar
- baking powder
- vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Boil ½ cup water and add 1 ½ cups of sugar and 6 Tbl. Cornstarch. Add 2 egg yolk (beaten), 1 Tbl. Butter and juice and rind or 2 lemons and return to heat and boil.
Meringue
2 egg whites 2 Tbl. Powdered sugar
½ heaping tsp. Baking powder 5 drops vanilla
Beat egg whites until rather stiff. Beat in sugar, baking powder and vanilla. Place on cool pie and bake until own at 350°
