Ingredients
- CAKE:
- 1 can sliced pineapples
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3 TBS butter
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 1 1/2 cups sugar (add little by little)
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- pinch salt
- maraschino cherries for middle of pineapple slices

Step 1
Make paste of sugar and butter, and spread in bottom of large cast iron skillet. Lay pineapple slices and cherries on top and pour batter over it.
Bake at 375F.
