Ingredients
- 4 or 5 large, sweet apples such as Rome Beauty or Baldwin, 2-3 lbs total weight, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 3/4 cup watter or apple cider
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup sugar
- Fresh lemon juice

Step 1
In a large heavy non-aluminum saucepan over low heat, combine apples and cider. Cook until apples are very tender 20-30 min.
Puree the apples in a food processor or leave them a bit chunky. Transfer to a bowl. Stir in cinnamon, sugar and lemon juice to taste.
