  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • Nonstick baking spray, for the foil
  • 10 to 12 graham crackers
  • 1 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup (6 ounces) salted butter
  • 2 tablespoons whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Bake pecan in single layer on baking tray for 20-12 minutes until toasted and fragrant, mixing half way through.
Line a 9 1/2 x 20 casserole dish with tin foil. Right after banking the foil needs to be removed so that it doesn’t stick.
Grease with cooking spray.
lay graham crackers in single layer, overlapping.
Combine sugar, butter and cream in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.
Stir in vanilla and pecans to coat.
Pour the butter mixture over the crackers and spread lightly.
Bake for 10-11 minutes until lightly brown and bubbly.
Sprinkle salt .
Lift the foil and slide off bark before cooling.
(Foil MUST be removed foil BEFORE cooling. )
Cool for 30 minutes and break up into pieces.
