Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. bacon cut in cubes
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1 can whole kernel corn, drained
  • ground nutmeg
  • 3 large potatoes peeled and cubed

Preparation

Step 1

In soup pot, fry bacon until crisp. Drain grease.

Add onions and green peppers; saute until golden.

Add water and bring to a boil.

Put in potatoes and let cook slowly until tender.

Add other ingredients and heat thoroughly.

Top with grated nutmeg.
