Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 TBSPs brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp powdered mustard
  • 4 tsps Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsps seasoned salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 2 TBSPs finely chopped green pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups Wheat Chex Cereal
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a large bowl, combine ketchup, brown sugar and mustard. Reserve 4 TBSPs of the mixture for the topping.
2. To remaining mixture add Worcestershire sauce, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, pepper and egg. Blend well. Stir in green pepper and Wheat Chex. Let stand 5 minutes.
3. Break up Wheat Chex and add ground beef. Mix well. Shape into a loaf in shallow baking pan.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for 65 minutes. Spread top with reserved ketchup mixture and bake an additional 10 minutes.
