Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup cocoa, unsweetened (divided)
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs, large
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 6 tbsp. butter melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 cup light Brown Sugar packed
  • 1 1/3 cup water. boiling

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F. In medium bowl sift together flour, 1/3-cup cocoa, baking powder and salt. In large bowl whisk together eggs, granulated sugar, butter, milk and vanilla until blended. Add flour mixture and stir until blended. Spread batter evenly into an ungreased 2-quart casserole dish. In medium bowl whisk together remaining 1/3-cup cocoa, brown sugar and water until blended; pour over batter. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Serve warm.
