Cream Cheese Xmas Cutout Cookies

Ingredients

• Cookies:
• 1 -1 cup shortening
• 1 -1 3oz. pkg. of cream cheese, rm.temp
• 1 -1 cup sugar
• 1 -1 egg yolk
• 1/2 -1/2 tsp. vanilla
• 2 -2 ½ cup shifted, or stirred all purpose flour
• Frosting:
• 3 -3 cups powdered sugar
• 1/3 -1/3 cup marg. Or butter
• 1 -1 ½ tsp. vanilla
• 2 -about 2 tbls. milk

Preparation

Step 1

Cookies:

Cream shortening. Work in cheese and sugar until light and creamy. Beat in yolk and vanilly and flour slowly. Bake on greased cookie sheet for 12 to 15min. 375*

Frosting:

Mix together sugar and butter. Stir in vanilla and milk…beat until forsting is smooth and spreading consistencey.


Bake 375◦ for 12-15 minutes
