DIRECTIONS:

Cream together sugar and butter or shortening. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well. Gradually add flour, baking soda and salt, then add vanilla extract. Knead dough and roll it out on floured surface. Cut with biscuit cutter or glass tumbler. Bake in 325 degrees F oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
